Rights and takedown
Rights and takedown.
Information for rights holders and players about franchise characters, portraits, user content, and removal requests.
Draft dated October 17, 2026 · Operator location: New York, United States
1. Third-party characters and images
Anime Lab currently depicts recognizable characters from third-party franchises and uses portraits sourced from MyAnimeList character pages. The characters, names, images, and related marks belong to their respective rights holders. Anime Lab is an unofficial project and is not sponsored or endorsed by those holders or MyAnimeList. Attribution and a fan-project notice do not establish permission to use artwork, trademarks, or derivative material, particularly in a paid product. See portrait credits for source links. The operator must obtain appropriate rights or replace material before a commercial launch.
2. How to report a rights concern
If you own or represent rights in content shown on the Service, send a report to the contact below with: the work or rights you identify; the exact page, character, image, or URL at issue; your name, organization, and reply address; an explanation of your authority; and the action requested. If you are making a copyright notice under a law that requires a particular format, include the required statements and signature. Please provide only information necessary to evaluate the request.
This page is a general rights-contact process, not a claim that Anime Lab has registered a designated DMCA agent or adopted a statutory safe-harbor procedure. If the product later enables public user submissions, the operator should separately assess any applicable notice-and-takedown obligations with counsel.
3. Review and response
We intend to review credible reports, may remove or restrict material while evaluating them, and may ask for more information. We may preserve information needed to respond to legal claims. We cannot promise a fixed response deadline in this draft. Knowingly false or misleading notices may have legal consequences. This process does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
4. Player input and generated stories
Players should not enter private information, defamatory statements, or material they lack rights to use in names, prompts, or other text fields. AI-generated stories may reference fictional worlds and characters; generated text can be inaccurate or infringing depending on its contents and use. Users must follow the Terms of Service. We may remove content or restrict accounts where needed to address a credible legal or safety concern.
5. Contact
Rights and takedown requests: [WORKING CONTACT EMAIL REQUIRED BEFORE LAUNCH]. Operator: Anime Lab (placeholder; verified legal name required), New York, United States.
